At 6 o’clock, a flying tourbillon. The tourbillon completes one full revolution per minute.
At 12 o’clock, the Signature Mystérieuse® – an automaton – displays the Charles Girardier logo with the interlaced “C&G” on two elements rotating around an axis. The energy required for this ballet is provided by a dedicated oscillating weight hidden beneath the dial. With every movement of the wrist, kinetic energy sets the two elements in motion in opposite directions, eventually returning to their initial position when the wrist is tilted to read the time.

OUR KNOW-HOW

The Grand Feu champlevé enameling method involves depositing enamel into cavities that have been meticulously carved into the dial plate. While this process can be mechanical for simple patterns, it becomes a highly intricate, manual craft for unique pieces. The enameller carefully fills the hand-engraved spaces, adding a rich palette of shades and colours.
