CG SYNC-1863 GMT

Step into the world of the CG SYNC-1863 GMT caliber, a true masterpiece that upholds the tradition of grand horological complications. The term “SYNCHRONAUT,” a poetic fusion of “synchronisation” and “astronaut,” embodies the art of journeying through different realms and eras. It reflects the path of a luxury watch enthusiast, navigating life’s adventures with elegance and confidence, a symbol of a distinguished status and an enduring quest for excellence.

Crafted from 194 meticulously assembled components, this calibre exemplifies horological ingenuity and mastery. Its functional simplicity is expressed through two pushers (+1h and -1h) that allow for effortless navigation between time zones, making this GMT calibre both practical and sophisticated.

The finishing touches, a tribute to the finest watchmaking craftsmanship, elevate every detail: the star-patterned Côtes de Genève adorn the bridges, while each one is delicately chamfered and hand-polished. This devotion to detail is reflected in every aspect of this movement, embodying timeless refinement and elegance.

The CG SYNC-1863 GMT Caliber (a 2024 novelty) is a true horological masterpiece, built upon a Vaucher movement base and enhanced by Dubois-Dépraz integration for the GMT complication. The master watchmakers from our partner brand Oscillon have elevated this creation by developing the oscillating weight, the design of the pushers, and the day/night indicator window. They also perform the artisanal guilloché and assembly with renowned Swiss precision, while overseeing the entire engineering process. Each watch leaving our ateliers reflects an unceasing pursuit of excellence, blending horological heritage with contemporary innovation to offer our clients pieces of rare elegance and unparalleled quality.

The decoration of this calibre is highly aesthetic: the bridges feature a black NAC galvanic treatment and a star-shaped “Côtes de Genève” finish. The skeletonized white gold oscillating weight is circularly satin-finished and adorned with chevrons, echoing those on the dial.

This calibre boasts a triple complication:

At the centre of its guilloché dial, it simultaneously displays two different time zones. At 10 o’clock, a window reveals the day/night indicator, linked to local time, allowing for an intuitive and precise reading. The day/night indicator gradually turns white around 6 a.m. and black around 6 p.m., clearly representing the diurnal and nocturnal cycles. Additionally, it features a date sub-dial, inspired
by an antique silver pocket watch dating back to circa 1800, bearing the reference «DI I 546,»
signed «Girardier L’aîné.»
